Maren Miller is a seasoned fiduciary professional with over two and a half decades of experience in trust and estate administration. Prior to founding North County Fiduciary Services in 2020, she managed the Trust Administration department of a prominent North County law firm for 20 years. Her responsibilities encompassed oversight of trust and estate administrations, office management, bookkeeping, oversight of special needs trusts, and the creation and management of trust shares.

Maren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of California at Santa Barbara and Westmont College. In 2011, she completed the Professional Fiduciary Management Certification Program at California State University, Fullerton. She subsequently passed both the California Fiduciary Exam and the National Guardianship Exam, as required by the Professional Fiduciaries Act of California.

Over the course of her career, Maren has played a central role in the administration of more than 600 trusts and estates, from inception to final distribution. She brings particular expertise in navigating complex family dynamics, special needs planning, public benefits eligibility, and the prudent management of trust shares in accordance with fiduciary standards.

Her work is grounded in both professional excellence and personal compassion. Maren is especially committed to helping families through challenging transitions, whether that involves blended family concerns, caring for vulnerable beneficiaries, or serving as a neutral third party to minimize conflict. Her boutique fiduciary practice offers the flexibility to tailor services to each unique case, regardless of estate size.

What sets Maren apart is her deep investment in her clients’ stories. In many cases, she builds trusted relationships with clients well before her services are required—ensuring their legacy is carried out with both precision and heart.

Outside of her professional life, Maren lives in San Marcos, California, and is the proud mother of two adult sons: Kieran, a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Graduate and current science teacher for the Vista Unified School District, and Caden, a UC Santa Barbara graduate working as a sales representative in Los Angeles. In her free time, she enjoys painting, hiking, volunteering, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
